Reduce complexity and reach more user groups

In November 2018 at the time that we updated the App to work with the SDK level 28 (as per the Google requirements) we split its complexity and built new product variants. The goal was triple: one one side make it easier to use, on the other add granularity to the price strategy and last, reach more possible customers.

Build variants in gradle file

All twenty four Apps can be built with one click. Code is common for all Apps and based on the package name the compiler builds a certain product. We took advantage of this new code version and product release to migrate to abb bundles that support serving optimized APKs.

Dash boards

Eash of the build variants has one main dashboard which covers its main purpose. For example, Snore Breath has as a main dashboard the one showing graphs related to the snore breath speed of the user. The same for Snore Noise, Snore Partner, Snore Cycles or combinations of them.

Snorek (which is the name of the project but also the name of one of the variants) has also a main Dashboard from which is possible to navigate to the specific ones.

Product price

Each of the products can be purchased "Low Cost", "Ads Free" and "Full". Depending on which you get you will be requested to subscribe the different features. Only the Full one has unlimited access without extra cost to all features of the product.

Snorek App Settings

Each of the features that can be montitored from the dashboards can be personalised to the user needs. Mostly warnings can be adjusted based on the information that we obtain from the graphics. And this is different for each patient or user.

Adjust warnings after you have snored a certain number of times or in a given time frame

Define how long should your wearable vibrate to warn you of your snoring in your configured settings

Define how you want to be warned - using a certain sound or a give vibration length

Find out if and how many snores are waking you up

If you start snoring and you do long enough you could wake up your partner - Adjust when you should be warned in this cases

Time between snores could indicate a sleep apnea - Adjust when you want to be warned based on the long silence between snores

Warn me if I am louder than a certain noise level that I have found out on previousnights graphics
