Firebase was in the backend of this App targeted to users looking for companion to share a cultural event. Users registered and loged in with their Facebook profile and could like events. Other users could see who was interested in an event and get in touch via the built in Chat. To be able to contact other users, members could get a monthly subscription. Whenever they contacted a user, this got a notification that let open the chat directly and answer that message.

Users register using the Facebook SDK. The chat is based on a Firebase realtime database. Users get notified via push notifications and navigate to the activity displaying the event via deep links with pendingIntents.

Cultura Compartida was a startup project with a Business Plan, Finance Plan, Onepager and initial support from Barcelona Activa in Barcelona but lacked support from the City Hall and the Culture Department. Less than two years latter an initiative with the same format was started in Barcelona by somebody else.
